absolutely horrible, I wouldn't recommend this apartment to my worst enemy!

The whole experience of moving to Mallard Cove has been awful. First off we were in communication with the office for a month deciding if we wanted to make the move. We were pressured by the staff to make a decision on moving and we finally decided that we would move there (my grandmother and I). The day that we were to make the move we requested to walk the apartment. My grandmother is ederly and disabled, so we requested a firt floor apartment. The day of the move we found out that the apartment was on the third floor and that was the least of our problems. The door to the apartment was poorly put on the frame and could have easily been kicked in. The neighbors were staring at me and I didn't understand why until we entered the apartment and saw that there were clothes in the washer...can you believe that' Suddenly we heard a knock at the door and it was the neighbor coming to get the laundry. She then began to tell us about how horrible the neighborhood was. Her son was incredibly weird walking around the apartment freely as if he lived there; it was all very odd. The apartment was disgusting. The mirors and doors were missing in the bedrooms and the bathroom. The dishwasher was covered and paint. The apartment was very dingy and dark! Once we viewed the apartment I gave the staff a verbal lashing and explained to them that they had over a month to have the apartment in order and that was what they showed us. The leasing manager explained to us that was why he insisted that we walk the apartment. He said that there were other apartments but they were out of our price range and, he said that he could get something ready for us in a week. I explained to him that it was unacceptable because he was so persistant that we move immediately. We already gave our nice apartment but pricey that we were leaving and purchased a moving truck, so another week was not feasible. They then showed us another apartment that was much better but didn't have heat or the washer or dyer that we were promised would be in the apartment. He informed us that the apartment would be in tip top shape by monday. I arrived at the apartment on Monday, in the dead of winter in Indiana and there was still no heat. The heat was not fixed until Wednesday. The sinks are covered in paint. Someone broke into my neighbor's house in broad day light. All of the staff has been fired so there is no kind of consistency. It took them 2 wks to get us keys to the mailbox and, we were told that the area was comcast cable so we canceled our cable to only find later that this area is brighthouse. Long story short, moving here is a nightmere and I cannot wait until the lease is up so that we can move. I am scared for my grandmother here
