I am a new resident to Mariners Village and I love my apartment. It is beautiful and the only problem when I moved in was that one of the doors hinges had come loose and they fised it the day I told them about it. I love the fact that they have a swimming pool, a gym that is open 24 hours, and a tanning bed. I have never been darker. Almost all of the people in the office that I have met are sweet as sugar, except for one.
I think the man in the offices name is Bernie and he needs to learn a thing or two about being a better person. I learned of late that the gym that is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, so that people like me who tend to work from sun up to sun down just so I can make the rent, can go in and work out, but this manager, Bernie has taken it upon himself to lock the gym at nights. Now there havent been any type of disturbances and they advertise that it is open 24 hours a day, but he locks it.
Bernie comes to peoples doors at night and am not talking supper time, I am talking late at night to collect rent. Now I know that the rent NEEDS to be collected, but NOT at that time at night. It is time for bed, and most people are getting ready to sleep. We all work and sleep can effect our performance there, and Bernie waking us up isnt working. And to top all of this off, one of my neighbors got a knock on her door late one night, guess who it was....thats right BERNIE. Now Bernie said he was there to collect the rent...fine, she wrote him a check. She went to hand it to him and he refused to take the check. Now, really, what is wrong with this man.
I have been to the office a couple times over the last week and I know for a fact that this man is supposed to be checking up on the apartments and walking the halls. For the time that I have been here I have not seen this man walk past two buildings now I am not sure how many buildings there are all together for this community, but I do know there has to be more than ten. Now the manager that should be checking up on everything, because it is his job, doesnt go to any of these other buildings. I have asked some of the other residents that live a little farther away from the office that Bernie works in, some that have lived here for years, and every one of them has said they have never seen him come to their buildings. Now I know that it is good to have faith in your workers, but hell even a manager should walk to the grounds eery once in a while. If for nothing less than to talk to some of the tenants of the buildings.
Now I know many of the tenants have children and they keep on the sites about where their children can go out and things, I have talked to some of my fellow tenants and a few have told me they put in applications to be work at the apartment complex as anything they need. Many of these people are great people, and hard workers. They want to work in the complex because it is closer to home. I dont blame them I may even put my application in so i can switch jobs, the women in the office are marvelous. They are sweet and treat you like family. The other day I had gone into the office to find Bernie interviewing a known pedafile. they keep up on the sights because they don't want their kids to be around that kind of thing, and the fact that one of the people that are supposed to be protecting their tenants and makings sure that we live in a safe enviroment where we can kids play outside and feel safe about it. I don't think that a pedafile is the right way to go about this. Do you' Would you want your kids in an enviroment where a man is walking our halls for "work" and is also a pedafile' I would fear to let them out of the house. Now there are a couple of intelligent, hard working, self motivated men and women who have put in applications, they have great backgrounds, and Bernie hasnt even given them calls back. What kind of employer goes for the pedafile over the outstanding citizens' Not a good one.
Now I know that this sounds like I am just bashing Bernie, but to tell you the truth, he has been the only person that I have met, that is employed here, that seems to not know what he is doing' Every one else that I have met so far, and I havent met all of them I'm sure, has been great. I think you should be getting a new manager in there soon, because if it doesnt happen, im going to start a petition about it if things dont change with that man. retrain him, get rid of him, or do anything in between. Just make sure that something changes because I feel that he is not only putting children in jeopardy but also letting our complexes go. Anyway that is just the thoughts of one tenant.
