Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I say that because it is about 25% good what I am going to say, but overall 75% bad.
I lived in Mariners in 2006 and I absolutely loved it, I liked the management, the staff, maintenance, etc... However, I moved back in sometime in November of 07 and was shocked by January at how poorly these apartments had been abused, not kept up with, and overall at how some of the staff treats the residents.
I will start out with the good unlike most people who focus solely on the bad, and stay on the bad.
The things I was satisfied with at this apartment:
The Manager was great, i liked her more than the last manager that I was introduced to.
I like the layout a bit, but for the price I paid not so much.
I like the lawn care people because they do everything fast and are efficient.
Now to the bad, the manager is next:
Dishwasher is not a washer, it is only rinses. I always ended up having to re-wash them myself.
The "assistant" was rude as could be after a couple times of me going in there, she never ONCE put in my work orders, and was not that helpful ever.
They cycle through Office employees like water.
The ceiling in my bathroom looked like water was leaking from upstairs, I got "It should be fine". Still to this day it has not been fixed.
Heat does not work at all in the bedroom.
Walls were painted and clean, the bottom however was not and was really cracked.
Behind my stove was dirty on move in, and a mouse hole was behind it on the right hand side.
Problems with electrical failure about 2 times a month on average.
Mold and tiles falling off of the shower, along with a mold under the sink. This order was "put in" 3 times before I sent in a written legal statement stating it was the final notice without facing legal action. That got them in my Apt after a month.
A neighbor who was a thief, another who was an admitted drug dealer even to her child.
Ice everywhere during the winter, I gut stuck a couple times, and slipped a couple more.
Vents that have not been cleaned it looked like for years, dust was cleaned every day until I finally was tired of cleaning everything off.
The apartments need to be remodeled to present themselves better and to fix a bunch of problems that I have had along with others.
So far I do believe that is all for that part.
Management:
She was on top of everything fast.
When I went in and gave her my order, the person would be there that day unlike the unreliable assistant.
She was nice, and VERY understanding and willing to work on some things with you.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this unless you are really hard up or you really want these apartments. The choice however is up to you, you can decide for yourself.
When I go take some photos I will upload them if I am able to edit, that way you can see the problems for yourself. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
