when i first went to visit and take a look around it was aboslutely wonderful. when i moved in, it was good. then it went downhill. the management staff is pretty good, esp --------. the manager ---- is horrible, she is rude and stuck up and not someone i would ever want to deal with again. the pool is always closed. the parking is aboslutely HORRIBLE, esp during events. they seem to accomidate people that are visiting for one day for an event over people who LIVE THER and PAY rent. the evelators are always broken and never seem to work. people hold elevators and i waited one time 17 minutes for the elevator and there is no other way down. they recieve packages for you but never seem to call you to let you know that they are down there so you can go days without knowing. you live right next to the ghetto and random people are always walking around in the parking lot, the gates are hardly ever closed so it doesnt make sense to even have them. there is always gun fights and shootings down the road by 38th street and has been right outside of the apartments as well. random people will be found walking through the building- the security sucks. the normal woman at the front desk is rude and has offended me and others several times. the actually apartments are SMALL for the rent price and collect dust horribly because they dont take care of the venting at all. they dont clean the hallways and there is usually dust all on the walls and by the vents, many of us seem to think that they put all of their money into the front and that is it- which is horrible for how much you pay! rent randomly goes up and they have lost my rent check several times, made me pay the late fee then they "found" the original check and didnt refund my money. the laundry rooms are horrible because they are very few for how many people live there, ive had people many times take my clothes out BEFORE it was done and wasted 2 dollars on my load, and have had things stollen. i would get blamed for noise when i hadnt been loud and even once when i was on vacation! they say you are only allowed to have cats but i have seen so many dogs there which is unfair i believe. they are unfair and a horrible place to live, honestly. i have lived there for 2 years and can NOT wait to move!!!

" people hold elevators and i waited one time 17 minutes for the elevator and there is no other way down."
Hahahaha. There are two elevators and a stairwell on every floor. It's not legal to only have ONE ELEVATOR to get down...that would be a fire hazard, and this is certainly not the case at the Marott.
"the parking is aboslutely HORRIBLE, esp during events. they seem to accomidate people that are visiting for one day for an event over people who LIVE THER and PAY rent"...You know coming into this place that they hold events here...it says so on the sign out front. And of course they are going to treat them well, they are probably paying 3 times your monthly rent to be there for ONE DAY...and go and have a pity party for yourself because you live somewhere that someone thinks is gorgeous enough to get married in. Plus the parking lot is HUGE!!! And there is visitor and street parking all around the building.
"you live right next to the ghetto and random people are always walking around in the parking lot, the gates are hardly ever closed so it doesnt make sense to even have them. there is always gun fights and shootings down the road by 38th street and has been right outside of the apartments as well."...The Marott is on 26th street, not 38th. And it is by NOT MEANS near the worst part of town...That's down by 13th street where the people get shot and come wandering into your building. And the gates close every night at 6pm and are closed all night every night. They are only open during the day.
"random people will be found walking through the building- the security sucks"....yea, random people walk around the ground floor because they want to see how beautiful this place is. There is a 24 hour security guard at the front desk with cameras watching over the whole building, and you can't even get on the elevators without a key pass. Noone can get past the ground floor, and you also need the pass to get into the gym, tanning beds, and pool.
"the actually apartments are SMALL for the rent price"...you should probably look at an apartment before you choose to rent it and make a decision based on the size and price and quality. Personally, the size is perfect for me! If you chose to live there for that price, why complain? The price is higher than other apartments because you get a free gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, tanning bed, coffee shop, and wireless internet.
"the laundry rooms are horrible because they are very few for how many people live there,"... There is a washer and dryer on EVERY SINGLE FLOOR. Most places have 3 washers and 3 dryers in the basement. It's extremely convenient. If someone is in the one on your floor you just hop the elevator to another floor. It's really not that hard. And just like in any apartment complex, if they are all being used, WAIT AN HOUR or DO IT TOMORROW...(don't whine and complain).
"they say you are only allowed to have cats but i have seen so many dogs there which is unfair i believe."...I have never seen or heard a dog in here. I used to live in a place where dogs were allowed and there was urine and saliva everywhere in the hallways and elevators and this would never happen in the Marott.
I DO NOT work here...I just think that noone should read comments like this that are simply out of a spoiled person who can't appreciate what they have. If you want complete spacious luxury in a neighboorhood where it's safe for your kids to play, don't live anywhere near downtown. But this is the nicest, safest, cleanest place down here as long as you are not a selfish spoiled stuck up person who does not know what it's like to be any other way.
