The apartments are nicely laidout and there are some old-style details that make the place charming, however, I would not recommend the Meridian PLaza. This is mainly due to management, poor maintenance, and shotty renovations that take away from what little charm this place has.
The management is very much a corporate operation. With several buildings around Indianapolis, they are not only ineficient, but they are more concerned with business rather than theor tenants. They will make several promises just to get you to sign the lease.
Maintenance is slow and often unresponsive. For example, the faucet in the kitchen has been leaking for weeks, and after two calls to report it, nothing has been done. This is not only a huge waste of natural resources, but it is a costly maintenance issue--probably loosing gallons a day.
Recent renovations from efficient steam heat to electric have resulted is unsigntly alterations to the apartments. Especially since the craftmanship is aweful and covers some fine details of the old woodworking.
The parking lot is really small with spaces almost too small for a mini--perhaps better suited for a motorcycle'
Don't live here. The neighborhood is also shady, and the unfriendly managent is a big turn-off.
