A good place to live!

My husband, son, and I are current residents at Meridian South. We have been homeowners for 30 years. Our home needed many renovations, and we decided to tear it down and rebuild, rather than remodel. Because of that, we looked and looked for apartments before deciding to move to Meridian South.
We moved into our apartment approx. 1 year ago, and have decided to not actually start rebuilding until 2007, so have just signed another lease.
In all honesty, we did have a maintenance issue one time, but when we called and spoke to someone at the office, it was handled promptly, efficiently, and with many apologies for our trouble. Any maintenance call is handled quickly and promptly, and there has always been a follow-up call from the office later, to see if everything was finished to our satisfaction.
We have been very impressed with our stay here, and quite frankly, if they ever went condo, I would be willing to move in permanently.
Having been homeowners for so many years, we had dreaded possible noise issues, etc., but this has never been a factor. Our apartment is very quiet, and we enjoy our time here.
My mother-in-law came and visited recently. We had been trying to convince her to move to Indianapolis, so she could be closer to us. She had been 5 hours away before. She enjoyed her time here so much, that she will be moving to Meridian South herself in the next month. She loved the sidewalks around the buildings and lakes, and spent much time walking.
One of the things that drew us to Meridian South in the first place were the large, fenced patios. My mother-in-law spent hours sitting outside, reading, and watching the wildlife on the lake behind our apartment. It's very enjoyable watching ducks, geese, and even a great blue heron daily! What a great way to spend retirement days! I just wish I had more time to spend here, but as an Administrative Assistant to the President of a large insurance company, I don't have a lot of free time.
Our two bedroom, two bath apartment is spacious, comfortable, and feels like home! We have room to entertain, and room to relax in the peace and quiet when we want.
The office staff are VERY friendly, and helpful.
Although we will be excited to get our new home built, and move back to our own home, I will certainly miss Meridian South. We couldn't have found a better place to live.
