I moved in with my boyfriend about 6 months ago. Previously he has lived here since early 2005 with his now ex-wife. We currently live in the largest apartment. So far all I can say is that everything about this complex is great except for the apartment manager. Whom I did not even meet when I was filing the lease. Which after filing in December we did not recieve our copy till mid-March. She was never 'availible' to sign it...for a 3 month period.
Also his ex completed trashed the apartment while they lived here, costing several hundreds of dollars of damage. I know that many of the neighbors filed multiple complaints and that nothing was done about it. And after he temporarily moved out during the divorce she caused more damages. When she finally left and we moved in the apartment was left in a state of complete chaos. I spent several weeks cleaning only to have the manager call saying that 'we are creating a disturbance' and 'that the apartment is in an unacceptable state, there is so much damage that they may evict us'. Even after he had explained the situation three seperate times to her I had to do it again.
A week later a friend was helping me clean the patio when the manager (whom I had still never met)came literally stomping towards us and starting yelling at us for having trash and decaying food all over, and that "You are adults and should know better. I should evict you." The next morning she left a message on our answering machine stating that we had to call her immediately. When my boyfriend called back he was in the kitchen and I was in the living room on the couch. I could HEAR her yelling at him over the phone. She was saying that we had people living with us on that were not on the lease (which his ex wife had had; and many neighbors had complained about)and that we have completely destroyed the apartment and that she was evicting us. Everytime he tried to explain and deny that we had people living there she was saying " --------, -------- don't lie to me." Needless to say we were VERY angry over this.
The only reason we were not evicted is because we had all of our neighbors back us up. We still have payed for the damages (She refused to go after his ex-wife for any cost), but we will NOT be renewing our lease. She is the most unprofessional, nastiest person I have ever met before. Two of our neighbors have even decided not to renew because of how she handled our situation. How she maintains her job is an incredible surprise to me.
