Overall a good experience. Better than most places I have lived. First several months of living here were quiet and headache-free. Since two new neighbors moved in though, have been plagued by constant noise. It appears that a lot of students live here; I am not sure who is paying their rent, as it seems that they do not work and they come and go at all hours, slamming doors and such. In general, sound insulation is poor. Occasional issues with dog noise (I will never understand the reason for owning a 50-lb. dog (or dogs) and keeping it cooped up in a 700 square feet apartment). Great walking trail here with about a 3/4 mile circuit around the lake. Staff is pleasant and helpful for the most part. Maintenance is prompt and responsive. Staff is a little slow with snow removal and garbage area is often overflowing with trash. Fitness/pool area is nice, although I do not understand why they do not offer 24-hour access. Had to rent a washer/dryer (again, why not just include them in the apartment''); it was filthy when it arrived. Lots of spiders and wasps in the hallways during summer - not enough attention from staff toward removing these - constantly dodging about 15 fairly big spiders if I want to leave my apartment - throw in a wasp or two and it becomes quite an adventure to get in or out of the building. Feel very safe here. "Earthquakes" from nearby quarry are a little annoying, but overall not so bad - only about one or two per weekday (usually in the early afternoon, so if you work a normal schedule, you don't have to deal with them) and they last just a second or two. Great screened in balcony. Kitchen is aesthetically pleasing - good color scheme. Lots of closet space.
