Only As A Last Resort

As far as value goes, you can find deals that are far superior to the ones that you will find here. The apartments are expensive for the bare bones minimum that you get. This apartment complex allows large pets. Sounds like a plus' It isn't. Expect to see dog feces everywhere. Pet owners are asked to pick up after their pets but many of them don't. When I had the cable guy come over to install my cable, he commented on how disgusted he was by the amount of dog feces everywhere. Additionally, the walls are paper thin you will be able to hear your neighbors' bog barking all day. (I know I certainly did.) The demeanor of the staff ranges from icy deference to complete indifference. Expect to argue with the staff/maintenance service should you want anything but the most minor of repairs done. I had a crack near the foundation of my ground apartment that was letting in a great deal of cold air in during the winter. When I complained about the problem, they told me to get a ceiling fan! When I wasn't busy freezing to death, I had a grand time dealing with the ants that moved into the apartment with me. The staff said that they sprayed the exterior of my apartment for bugs but this spraying accomplished nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if they never did it at all. I've been out of the apartment for nearly two months and have yet to receive my deposit back. I doubt that I will ever receive it. Additionally, parking is always a problem if your neighbors have more than a few guests over. The applicances are average...nothing to get too excited about. Expect a few things to not work when you arrive. When I got to my apartment, one of the oven lights didn't work. The complex also failed to provide me with a fire extenguisher (which is a fire code violation isn't it') and I didn't receive an extinguisher until nearly half way through my lease. The only positive to this complex is its location which is ideal if you work in the College Park area. Otherwise, steer clear of this place. You can do much better elsewhere.
