WHATEVER YOU DO...TRUST THE REVIEWS!!!!

DO NOT...I say...DO NOT move into these apartments. It is the biggest headache I've ever had to deal with. I actually read these reviews before I moved in, but decided to be optomistic after speaking with their "friendly" office staff. I don't even know where to begin, but I'll attempt to start.

PARKING: The parking is a disaster. If you work irregular hours, do not expect to find a parking spot within a mile of your apartment. They house all of 3bdrm apartments next to eachother, leaving no space for tenants. Most people work 9-5ish, so if you get home anytime after, you'll park anywhere from 3-6 buildings away. This is especially bad since the area is known for break-ins. Oh and if you ask the staff where you should park they will probably recommend a garage, but oddly enough...there are NO GARAGES AVAILABLE!! So get your name in ASAP so you may be able to get one after the 3 year waitlist.

KNOCKOUTS BAR: Well if you have to park a mile away at 11:00pm, just hope that no rowdy, drunk, redneck hillbillies decide to mess with you (especially if you are a female). Also, pray that you are not in one of the building directly next to bar, because the drunk traffic and loud music is no fun. Remember, there is a reason why they changed the name from Bubbas to Knockouts. Finally, don't leave any valuables in your car because your car WILL be broken into. It usually happens after 3, when the drunk southside truck-driving hillbillies are leaving the bar and looking for some action.

TRASH: Like everyone else has said, the trash tower is the first thing you see when you pull into the complex. The overflow is ridiculous and it's embarrassing when you have guests over and that is the first thing you see. Another huge problem is the trash outside of people's front doors. The lazy tenants would rather let their trash rot outside of their apartments instead of in their own. But it looks horrible and smells awful. Finally, you are always able to spot beer bottles, pizza boxes, and other items all over the complex. Oh, the dog ---- doesn't evaporate...for all you owners who are too lazy to pick it up. And the dead grass all over the complex isn't very attractive.

MAINTAINENCE: Is there a maintainence crew' I actually was unsure since I've never seen them. This is even after they say they will fix something or "take care" of a problem. But holes in the walls are really no biggie anyway...right' Also, I wouldn't recommend letting them into your home without someone present. Who knows their work/criminal history.

STAFF: "This place is AWESOME!" I wonder how much these girls are getting paid everytime they say that. Though they seem attentive and friendly, they could really care less. But they do care enough to get on this website, pretend to be tenants, and write good reviews. You will never hear from them again, once you sign the lease. Don't expect anything, because you will surely be disappointed.

Finally, my last piece of advice to all you potential Overlook tenants....RUN FAST and DON'T look back. It will be the best decision you've ever made. If I would have trusted my instincts after I first read these reviews, I would happily be somewhere else. I don't care if they offer to paint an accent wall or give me free pizza once a year, I would much rather be somewhere else. This place is a joke...hopefully you won't waste your time or money.

all tenants have rights under the indiana code!ic32-31-8.5 would be a good start, property owners and property managers MUST comply with all health and houseing codes!so you state the trash is a problem call the board of health!you do not even have to give them your name, know who you our dealing with.you say the girls in the office, amanda is the property manager of overlook apartments.but amanda works for buckingham management the c.e.o is bradley chambers their phone number is 974-1234,their company is at 941 north meridian st indpls indiana.a tenant can sue the apartment complexs owner if personal property such as your car or stero is stolen or damaged that result from unsafe conditions.to prove this you will have to get a list of the police runs in overlook apartments to prove to the court that the mangement knew of the crime in the apartments.on 8-17-08 at 6700 block creek vaslley way apartment 2f burglary from residence-case number 080130120,case number 080107204-attempt vechile theft happened on 7-21-08,all you do is go to sheriff andersons home page and look up community crime trend and put in 6800 block ridgecrest way and you can pull up all the police runs within a mile of there and for the last 90 days.it is VERY hard to argue vwith offical IMPD police reports!i encourge all the residents of overlook to complain to buckingham ceo BRADLEY CHAMBERS AT 974-1234!
