I have lived here for just under a year and I am so glad that my time is up here. This place SUCKS, should be there slogan. I have had several issues involving the complex, from my neighbors, staff at the office, and of course the maintenace staff. All the previous reviews are fully correct. I can go on for days about this, but to sum it up quickly, just don't even consider moving here. My neighbors are always loud, and hold parties all the time, you call the courtesy officer - that is a joke - never a call back, call the office to complain, and they say we will send a letter out. Well this has been done at least 7 times that I can count now on the top of my head. The office staff says we are working on trying to resolve it, but nothing ever happens. Maintenance staff are a JOKE, it takes FOREVER to get one thing done, furnace filters should be changed monthly to them once a year. The grounds are always nasty and the compactor is ALWAYS backed up and it is up front at the main entrance and so you have guests come over and they see a big huge mound of trash, how attractive. Parking is a huge issue, they don't have enough parking spots for everyone, and you have to walk all over the complex to get to your apartment. Another thing is the people that like to park and take up 2,3, sometimes 5 spaces, yes 5 spaces, with a trailer on the truck. Another big thing is security, there are several buildings in which lights do not work on, and so it tends to be very dark in some areas, talked to the office about this on several occasions and we are working on it, and a year later no fix, there is a problem. The staff are always rude, Cassi is nothing but a big liar and is fake...ugh she is just Southside's finest, Bre she is ok but never very helpful, Dominic he is just as stupid as a box of rocks so don't ever rely on him, Amanda is just full of hot air....excuse for everything....budget is her best friend but doesn't have one. Maintenance staff is rude, never on time and always on a golf cart just doing nothing. All this for 750 a month, so do your homework and try to call the office.....hardly ever an answer when you call. Hope this helps someone so they don't get stuck like I have been for the last year in HELL>

WOW!!! This review is very very funny! I can't believe someone had to go as low as pin pointing certain people on the staff team at Overlook. For one...I think they're AWESOME!!! They are very very helpful...and always respond to every problem as quickly as they can. You have to think about how many people live here, how many maintenance checks there are, how many people come in to look at apts, and how many people are just waisting there time complaining because they have nothing better to do. You can't always get what you want when you want it. Things have to go through corporate offices with any apts, and they're going to resolve problems that are more important and serious than something petty. I have lived here for almost 2 years now. The only issues I have is parking gets a little crowded sometimes and I wish I didn't have to walk alone at night to get to my apartment, and the trash compactor gets a little crazy sometimes. But you can't blame the staff of the apts because it's not their fault that people throw things in there they shouldn't. It clearly states what you can and cannot put in there. And....this is a good one...1/2 the time the trash compactor isn't even messed up. There are just some lazy people who can't open the door and throw the trash in there, so they just throw it on the ground. Well once you see one trash bag on the ground, everyone else thinks it's broke and throws their trash on the ground. That's how it gets crazy. I have went to the compactor many of times and opened the door to notice it really wasn't broke. Within the first month I was living here, maintenance actually came over without me asking and changed my filters for me. For one...that's something that they shouldn't have to do...we are all adults here and should know to check our furnice filters. If you see its full and you call to get it changed..they will gladly come over and change it for you! They always spray for spiders and bugs when I ask, and they even came out to fix my door for me no questions asked. And...these apartments are just 2 years old. They are very updated and very clean. I think that rent is very reasonable, and if rent is so much of a problem to pay..maybe you aren't the type of person to live here..sorry but it's stupid. Overlook has a great team here. This is my first time living on my own, and in a big city. I feel very very safe around here, and I feel I can go to them with any problems and they are more than willing to help me. Thanks

I seriously don't think it's the rent that may be the issue, but if your're going to pay $700 to $900 for rent you expect more professional and convenance. I had Dominic hitting on me every chance he could, so let's not go on about the office staff. Another unhappy not to proud to ----- about this apartment individual.;)
