Just around the River bend...

I actually never moved into this apartment community and this is the main reason why:
When my husband and I visited River Road we wanted to see a model unit as we normally do. The apartment employee loaded us on the golf cart and before we could say anything went too fast over a speed bump- throwing my husband and I from the vehicle!! Keep in mind my husband is 6'1" and nearly 300lbs while I on the other hand am 5" and 100lbs. His arms were long enough to grab the backseat but I on the other hand went sprawling on the pavement. If it hadn't happened to me I'd probably never believe that something this ridiculous could have happened!
The employees reaction was to repeatedly gripe, "ohmigod, we just bought this!" as if that had anything to do with it. They immediately whisked us away to fill out a report. NO ONE followed up to ask how we were or if I was okay... if I was the type I would have filed a negligent lawsuit and perhaps I should have. There was no apology, no concern whatsoever. I was blessed to only receive some scrapes and bruises although since then at times my wrist is pained which may or may not have been a result of the accident.
Bottom line: if an apartment community can't feign courtesy to follow-up to try to deter a potential lawsuit, I trust they do not care well for their residents.
