My experience

First let me start off by saying you honestly get what you pay for. River road isn't that bad but it is in now way that good. The staff is so helpful and nice... until you sign your lease then its blank stares and no responses or returned phone calls especially when it comes to maitenence. I had felt safe the first year I lived here it was affordable and my neighbors seemed nice, sure there was alot weirdos especially the three who would go to the pool and play soccer dressed in regular clothes (how annoying) and then of course the fiesta of -------- that would hang out by the pool almost all the time except morning (that's when I go now). Then one day I was taking a shower and I came out and it was cold, puzzled I looked around then at the window someone had broke off the screen with a crowbar and opened my window. I was terrified and you know what the leasing office did' nothing. supposedly they had someone come out and check my windows, no documentation of that. The lights in the hallway and at the entrance of each little section aren't reliable and the leasing office doesn't seem to think its a hazard for them to be broken and not turned on. Well as I said you get what you pay for. Pay 3 dollars per load of laundry because they don't have hookups, walk a mile to empty the trash and feel a little nervous, hear your neighbors everytime they have sex or take a dump, expect ants and prepare and invest in a security system for your windows. Try to get there early so you can park if you come home late... good luck. But if you are looking for a cheap place that feels safer then lets say lake castleton, you have come to the right place. Oh, I was recently hit by a drunk driver and almost died and then my lease was up and they raised my rent even though they have NO handicap access, even to the leasing office. HOW RUDE. I will be leaving once this years lease is up I don't care if I have to live in the ghetto, I'll take my chances.
