We've lived in River Road since February 08. At first it wasn't THAT bad but now all we have is problem after problem.

Ants-EVERYWHERE. We've had the entire apartment sprayed several times and they are still there. I even woke up one morning to ants covering my headboard and in bed with me (mind you we never ate in the bedroom). In the bathroom. Covering the kitchen cabinets, floors, under the sink and behind the refrigerator. It is disgusting and unsanitary but the office only tells us they'll come spray again. I don't know what they expect us to do. Perhaps they enjoy living with hundreds of unwelcomed guests but I personally DO NOT.

Safety-Our apartment alone has been tampered with (attempted break-ins) at least 3 times. Although they offer alarms, they only work with the front door and ours never works correctly. It randomly goes off. The security guy is impossible to reach. Our lightbulbs on our patio have been unscrewed so we were not able to turn the light on to see anyone out there. Its ridiculous and unsafe. One morning I go outside to go to work and there is a random man sitting on our car. I hadn't noticed right away or I wouldn't have even gone outside. All he said was "oh is this your car'" and walked away...I was scared to death.

Plumbing-Our water heater has been broken at least 6 times. They come out and fix it and it breaks again. Its terrible when its the middle of March 30 degrees outside and you have to take a cold shower. And if there is actually hot water it lasts 5 minutes tops. TOILETS-Our toilet flat out sucks. For no reason (no one had even been in the bathroom) the toilet flooded our bathroom...literally an inch of standing toilet water. The maintenence guy only offered us a fan and left...to never even bring a fan back. Also, if you need emergency maintenance...be prepared for someone rude..and they flat out let you know you've inconvenienced them.

Noise-You can literally hear your neighbors urinating and watching tv as if you were sitting right next to them. Also, the majority of the tenants are hispanic so you constantly hear their music and no joke, all 6 of them that live in each one bedroom apartment have no idea how to be respectful of their neighbors.

Parking-Stinks. If you want parking in the evenings I suggest getting home no later than 5 or you'll have to park down the street.

All in all-River Road is the worst possible place to live on this side of town. Between sanitation issues to constant loud noises...its impossible to call this place your home.

You hit it right on the spot. Sounds like we have the same complaints. Maybe we could get enough and send them to corporate. Then maybe they would do something about the serious problems.
