I have lived at River Road since 2004 in different apartments. I have lived in three different units, and they are fine. The units are all kind of old, but pretty basic for an apartment. The property on the other hand is not. When I first moved to River Road, the property was great. It has declined slowly in the past four years. The lake in the summer is a neon green that smells. The landscape has gone down hill as well. There used to be beautiful rocks surrounding the lake, they have slowly gone away. You can see dead trees in certain areas of the property. The trash compactor area is always dirty and has people's used furniture around the area. Oh if you like to walk around the path and see that people let their dogs feces on the patio with a billion flies, you'd love to live here. Also, if you like the apartment manager to walk around at 6:00 pm with her beer in hand smoking a cigarette, you'll really love living here. You can also enjoy that your rent money is going towards putting up stop signs in Spanish. If you cannot figure out a sign, maybe you shouldn't be driving. I do not reccomend letting your children run around outside considering the cars drive through the complex at around 40 mph disregarding speed bumps or stop signs. I really love the employees that use their motorcycles when there are sign that state they are prohibited. The staff does what they please, and they really don't care about the tennents. We have witnessed car break-ins. The "so-called" security takes around 45 minutes to return a call. You can hear everything your neighbor does. They have also raised the rent, so it is not worth it anymore. They used to be well maintained apartments at an affordable price for the area. They should really do background checks on the people that move into the apartments.
