The only reason i renewed my lease is because i plan on moving to the west coast in september and i figured i could stick it out for 12 more months. I coulda swore when i renewed I was getting "upgraded lighting" or "fixtures" of my choice but here it is going on 4 months and i havent seen anything. Even after several emails, in person visits to leasing and "oh you're at the top of the list"..."it'll be done next week". BS!!! To make matters worse they raise the rent on current tenants, add in a charge for water and sewage for the first time and then sell the company. Let me not forget to mention they did not keep up the grounds nearly as well as JC Hart. I will NEVER do business with Greystar again. I HOPE this new management company is better.

I used to recommend my complex but now i do not want my name tied to it!

AMEN! They completely screwed us over as well. We got took for $3K because no one in the office knows what they are doing or can answer the simplest question. I feel I should be able to trust the employees who work in the office if I have a question or need but that never was the case with Greystar. It's like they were waiting for any opportunity to screw you over. Work orders were never done. We had a horrible wasp/yellow jacket problem at our place and I don't know how many times they were supposed to come spray or put things over our vents to prevent them from entering...and they never did. Ugh.

When you enter in to a lease (READ IT). Because the person explaining it my not hit all the points you later my need to discuss. Like when you go to renew your lease the property or company my offer an upgrade to your apartment as a courtsey. Its up to the office to relay that information to maintanance which in turn should do the work in a timely mannor. If that is not what happened then something else should have been offered. Again, employee's can not be watch every second an should be held accountable for their actions. So its not always the managments fault. But I do relize that when this took place till now that the NEW staff has had a great turn around time with work orders, office communication, and keeping the residents well informed of whats going on. Positive start to a NEW YEAR!!
