Ray, I went into the office and talked to Africa. I had gone in to pick up a package and of course no one came out to see what I needed. I always end up waiting 15 minutes and then having to go back and find someone. Well I found Africa and told her about everything and asked her to send maintenance out for our carpet. She wrote it down and everything. No one ever showed up. Weeks later someone finally did but that was because water was leaking into the apartment downstairs. Which has happened like twice before because they keep putting the same stuff on the hole in my tub and they say that should fix it but it never does. So anyway, we told the guy about our carpet and he said he would have Jim come out and treat it. He never did. Then last night we smelled something funny and it was our furnace filter. So we checked it and it was dirty and gross. Which is funny because we had gotten a newsletter from the office saying they were going to change everyones. Guess they forgot ours. Everything they have said they were going to do they haven't done. We aren't the only residents who think that. Then a few days ago, I had a package to pick up. The girl said she couldn't find it, and acted like she didn't even care.

How could you say that the maintenance is terrible here!? They are so helpful, they even take their own time after hours to hang up ceiling fans and shelves without being paid! If your the girl with the Yorkie and the big Lab then you are problem residents, because my patio looks over the area where you let your dog use the restoom and then walk away! The staff has even put up doggie stations with free bags and trash cans there to leave the trash! The girls in the office are great! They are so sweet and fun to talk to, yet professional and able to handle all the problems that we have had! Our apartment was perfect when we moved in, and although we have had a few service requests, they are completed that same day that you call it in!!! I pay $1100 for my apartment and garage and I would be mad if someone parked in my driveway as well, even for a second. I pay $100 a month to have all rights, if you want a guaranteed parking spot then buy one! And by the way, don't rent an upstairs apartment when you have a 60 pound dog that can walk. It is loud and inconsiderate. I hope you feel stupid for saying the things you have said!

Oh I love it-we are friends now. The only thing i will get on you for is the bugs in the grass-I know it's annoying-but its nature and no management company is going to spray the grass-I promise. You could even call a professional extermination company like Gold Seal and they will tell you that because we live near water, and also the weather-there is nothing that can be done. One thing I will suggest is to go and make an appointment with the property manager and make sure SHE is aware of your problems-and PUT THEM IN WRITTING! She has been nice to us, and if she knew what was going on I think she'd be happy to help. Even let her know who you spoke with when you originally reported everything. And the parking is not the best I agree-but let's be honest with each other-it has not changed from when you originally moved in, so it should have been apparent prior to choosing this for your new home. It's just one of those things you really have to investigate before moving in.

I'm Ray...I'm sorry things started going downhill after I left. Just an FYI, I left because I relocated to California. I have full confidence in the staff that was left there after me. Feel free to contact Jessica or Africa if you have issues and they will be dealt with.

i have lived at runaway bay for over 3 years now and things were wonderful until recently when the new staff came in. ray i have dealt with you and the previous staff many times and things were always taken care of! whenever i stopped in people were friendly and whenever i had a request it was taken care of. now the staff is hardly in the office and if they are they are rude rude rude. i cant wait to move out. i turned in my notice 60 days prior to the end of my lease just like it says to do if you are not renewing and it has been nothing but horrible since. they claim i didnt fill out the proper form and now are making me pay for 2 months rent past my lease ending date. ridiculous.

We are putting in our 60 day notice soon. What form did you not fill out? I don't want them to screw us over like they did you. That is ridiculous! I was soo excited to live here because the apartments are wonderful but the office and maintenance staff have just ruined everything so we are out of here!

I am floored by all the remarks made about runawaybay apartments. everyday I step on my patio of lakes side @the brickyard and I see how nice the area is but I guess that doesnt mean anything because lake side LOOKS HORRIBLE ON THE OUSIDE. We have one of the a brandnew apartments, otherwise we wouldnt be there. I agree, we been at lakeside for one year. we were never supposed to be there but, the staff was out of the office at runawaybay and we got tired of waiting so we wnet over to lakeside and been there. We will soon be running for our lives because LAKESIDE management is HORRID.
