I lived at Salem's Lot ( this name fits the place better) for two years. Lets start w/ this: I awoke to gunshots in the middle of the night once, and a man committed suicide and rotted in his apartment for 3 weeks before anyone went in, despite his neighbors complaints about the smell ( neighbors finally complained to the health department who broke in and discovered the dead body). The first year was ok, but when the new management took over in 2006 the place went to the pits. First, new management is very rude and not professional. They have no clue what they're doing. The lawn was never taken care of and there were pit bulls and other dogs that were not allowed in the apartment all over the place. Also, you can't step in the grass w/out stepping in dog poop - if you have kids don't live here! Also, maintenance doesn't know how to fix anything and they spend more time flirting w/ the tenants and being perverted rather than fixing anything. They also tended to break things such as furniture and dishes in the apartments while snooping around. Also, the new management starting charging renters with fees that they were not liable for with the old management team, such as increased pet fees, increased car port fees, etc. Some tenants that signed their leases when there were no pet deposits are now being charged for their pets, and others who had carports with their leases are now being charged extra for their carports, even though they had not been charged for these thinge ever. Broken beer bottles littered the parking lot causing flat tires. Hallways were never cleaned and were filled with cigarette butts. An old dirty mattress stayed in a hallway for 2 weeks before someone removed it despite the complaints. Other details - speedbumps HORRIBLE, pool dirty ( do not be swayed by the indoor pool - its nasty), maintance issues resolved very slowly or never, very loud disrespectful neighbors everywhere, nowhere to park, broken down cars taking up parking spots... DO NOT LIVE HERE!
