I have been a resident of Salem Courthouse for only 2 1/2 months, and in that amount of time there have been several car break-ins and at least 6 apartment break-ins. Last week, an apartment in my building was robbed AT GUNPOINT, and yesterday there was a murder at another building in the complex! Two weeks ago, I had a 1/2 tank of gas syphoned out of my gas tank. The front office or the owners in Ohio refuse to notify any of the tenants of the violence that is going on, yet they also refuse to supply any type of security, card access systems, auto-lock building doors, etc. There is a gate to the apartment community that sits broken which they won't fix, and they won't provide a security company to sit in the guard shack to help with security. Half of the exterior lighting never works or is broken, I have items from my move-in list that have still not been taken care of, and any immediate maintenance issues I've had go 2-3 days before getting fixed. Parking is an absolute nightmare, and the tenants themselves could care less if their trash makes it the dumpsters. However, it must not be a priority for the office staff, because I've never seen any type of grounds people out picking up trash. The ponds are filled with green scum and trash which smells when the weather's warm. Overall, I would never recommend this complex to anyone, and will be counting down the days until my lease is up and I can move someplace where I can actually get a good nights sleep and not have to sleep with one eye open.

I lived there way back in 1981 & even then cars were getting broken into. I now live in coastal NC and I can tell you this - get out of Indiana cause its going the way of Chicago
