Ive only had to put in one year here fortunatly. I absolutly hate it here! Maintenance sucks! I was without A/C for about 3 weeks! I had to call it in 4 times in order to get it repaired! We are all charged a monthly fee for pest control. I have a serious problem with spiders in my apartment. I average killing one a day. They are obviously not doing anything as far as pest control but still charge us. Dont get a garage either! They are nasty inside! Whenever it rains, they flood so you cant have anything on the floor. All the garage doors are dirty and alot are
broken apart. Crime here is another issue. I have heard of alot of residents
apartments getting broken into and televisions and valuables stolen. I unfortunatly
got my motorcylce stolen from here in April. My neighbors car has been broken into. It sucks over here! I cant wait to move out! The staff is ok but managment sucks!
It seems like they dont want to do anything for long term residents like some of my
neighbors here. I know residents that have been here for around 5 years and have never gotten their carpets changed, they cant paint walls, cabinets are disgusting while all other apartments are being updated. Dont spend your money here! Its by far the worst apartments i have ever lived in!

As a long time Scandia victim I have to agree with everything that you said but you can double or triple the time for new carpets; painting walls is never ever done for existing residents, nor is updating anything. Once you sign a lease at Scandia their attitude immediately changes to contentious. There is absolutely zero followup to questions and maintenance. Their standard question when you call in a second or third time for the same maintenance request is, "Who did you talk to?" This alone gives you an idea of the poor quality of management, their lack of control, their absence of followup, and the cavalier manner with which they ignore tenant problems.

I also was a victim of Scandia. I lived there for 3 years and it was by far the worse place I have ever lived. Everything that you said about them is true. I had piles of dirt in front of my apartment almost the whole time I lived there. They called it construction, I called it destruction. You never saw the end of it. The management had such nasty attitudes. My saving grace was the fact that I worked out the town for the majority of the time I lived there and it was only when I came back that I discover what was going on there. Horrible maintenance, horrible staff, bug infested apartments. I was afraid to let my granddaughter get on the floor for fear that something would bite her (or eat her). And it never failed that everytime I complained about something they would either try and blame it on me or ask me did I try and fix it myself. Why would I try and fix anything? It was a most horrible experience. I too wish I had known about this site before moving into Scandia apartments.
