So... I just finally setteled with the collections agency...is that a good start'

After upgrading to a larger and more expensive apt and living there for 2 years, being told I could get out of my lease without having to pay a break fee, reffering two friends who still pay rent there (SORRY TO THEM....

staying after the 2 apts next to me were robbed IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY while they had their doors deadbolted and had there apt's sprayed down with a fire extiguisher, finding out soon after that the leasing agent 3 doors down had also recently been robbed, stepping in dog crap everytime i went to pick up my own dogs crap (they don't keep bags in the doggy trash cans and rarely empty them), scratching the back of my car becuase i have to drive my trash to a dumpster and pay for it, waking up to what i thought was the cubs winning the world series and Harry Carrey alive again because of the sound from the below neighbors at 4 am (I'm serious it was like the speaker was next to my head) and great entertainment when they were getting it on, lets see is that enought to keep you away.

Just look out for falling light fixtures, mold, extreme cold and heat with extreme cold and heat bills.

Ok I know you think i'm just bitter right, well when I finally went to write this and I realized how much actually did suck about these apts and now its just spilling out.

They're big thats really all they got.

I was charged over $2000.00 when I moved out early, when I was told I could move out early'' When I took time off work to have a meeting with the manager....there was an emergency on site....i believe I saw him out there where a shingle had fallen off the roof...obviously life threatening. Then, would not take my call once he sent my bill to collections without ever talking to me about it and had a leasing agent call and tell me this.......P***U***Y

The leasing staff is great, it is not there fault they have SH*TTY Management and Shady rules and procedures. The maintenance staff was always helpful and understanding with me. My gripe is not with them, but I do wish they would go find a better job before this place is condemed

I guess I didn't have it that bad, I never saw any dead bodies, thats always a plus.

Bottom line, I hope people look at this site and I hope the Scandia people read this site and understand why they can't get apt's rented anymore.

Don't rent here until you hear about some changes, by what I can tell its just getting worse.

I wish you had given a building number for all the robberies so current and future residents had some idea. There are over 400 units there and it is a large complex, evidently the robberies are concentrated? How did robberies occur in apts that were dead bolted? Were the break-ins through the patio doors?

No, the burglars used crow bars and got through the front doors that were deadbolted. They then went and opened the patio doors for a quick escape, stole a bunch of items then sprayed both apt's down with a fire extiguisher. This was honestly at around 11 am. I know becuase I came home for lunch that day and talked to the neighbors. Would have been nice if at lease up the staff encouraged renters insurance because neither apt had it. They both moved out. As for the leasing agent, she still works there and as far as I know lives there. Towards the end there had also been a number of car break-ins near a different section of the property. The security seems to have time to check license plates in the middle of the night and parking passes but not the safety of the residents. The apt's that were robbed were near the tennis/basketball court. From what I've heard the robberies are not concentrated but this does seem to be a worse area. I know apt complex's in general are easy targets and everyone needs to take precaution, but when noone knows what is going on they just go about buisness as usual.
