I am not going to Give my opinion, I am not going to tell you what I feel about the place. I am going to state the facts of what my experience has been like at Senate Square. This review is being written on August 17th of 2007.
1) Since I moved in sometime in august 2005, We have had 5 diffrent Property Managers, and I have lost count of APMs.
2) My shower started leaking into my downstairs neighbor's apartment in November of 2006. The leak was not fixed until March of 2007. The maintenance people visited 14 diffrent times before a certified plumber was called. We still do not have a accredited inspection of whether or not there is now mold in the walls.
3) My celling developed a leak during February of 2007. As I write this review in August of 2007, the leak has stopped, but there is still a hole in the plaster.
4) When we moved in August 2005, the person showing the apartment told us the grout in the bathrooms would be redone. In August of 2007, they still have not redone our grout.
5) The stairwell light went out in April of 2007, it was replaced in July of 2007. I called this in at least once a week.
6) Our A/C has not worked correctly since we moved in. The maintenance people will come out and say the A/C works because the air in the vents is cold. The volume of air is pathetic. My apartment reaches 90 degrees on hot days. During the April/May 2007 warm weather, we were told our A/C simply was not going to be fixed, despite apartment temperatures reaching over 90 degrees. Our A/C was not fixed until we threatened to place our rent in escrow and seek judgment for days the outside temperature was grater than 85 (their level where A/C becomes emergency maintenance).
7) My tuck has been vandalized twice in the parking lot.
8) One of bathroom sinks leaks. It has since we moved in. We have reported this more than a dozen times.
9) We can hear our neighbor's TV's music, doors, and disagreements even when all of these items are at moderate levels. I know our neighbors, they are not loud people.
10)They have closed the pool twice this summer and then shorted pool hours because they kept finding human waste in the pool.
11) A former roommate ruined the carpet in one of our rooms. We have contacted the office every day for a week straight for this matter. Every day we are told the company that does their carpet will come the next day. The current manager refused to take my call today. When I called back later the leasing agent informed me that even though the manager was still on property, She would not be even notified I had called back until Monday. The leasing agent then refused to give me cooperate offices phone number.
12) For the month of July 2007. Senate Square credited the rent we paid to another apartment. Mistakes will happen, we are all human, but, Senate Square did not bother to notify us that they had not 'received' our rent. They filed eviction on us July 17th, and still did not notify us until the court summons came in the mail.
13) The current manager has personally promised to return my phone calls on 6 separate issues now. Usually multiple times for each issue. The current manager must have taken my phone number down 50 times, but she has yet to dial that number.
14) Maintenance has left caulk, grease, and dirt in my sinks, tub, and on my walls.
I have written, recorded audio, and photographic evidence of each of these events.
Ok I lied, I am going to give you my opinion of this place. STAY AWAY! FAR AWAY!!!
