I have lived here at Shadeland Station for a couple of years now. I haven't had any problems with my neighbors. I haven't seen or experienced any crime. The office staff is incredibly friendly. And all of my experiences with maintenance have been good.

The one complaint that I have, though, is about the parking. The parking isn't bad over the entire complex. However, there are several trouble spots that are really bad. I live in a spot where apartments are densely clustered all around a curve. If I come home after about 8pm, I am pretty much guaranteed to have to park two buildings away. There are some other spots that are pretty bad too. I was taking a walk recently at about 8:30pm and I noticed another area where, looking both directions, I didn't see one free parking spot either direction down the road. To give it perspective, I would say that I have to walk about the distance from the back of a parking lot at Walmart to the entrance if I get home after 8pm. It's not a walk that is going to make you break a sweat or anything, but when you have to deal with it day after day, you get sick of it. It's also a huge problem if you have groceries or laundry to carry in.

Here's my advice for you before you decide to move into this complex... Find out which apartment you are going to get, and drive by at 8pm. See if you can stomach the parking. You may find that your apartment is located in a place with many free spots. Or you may find that you can't see a single free spot in either direction.
