The snow issue is one that all Indianapolis had to deal with. We had a blizzard and the following morning we had drifts as high as four feet to some doors. We had our entire staff working 15 hours a day plowing, shoveling out residents who were stuck and 111 entry ways to shovel out. I apologize if our staff couldn't get to your doorway in the time you needed, but we were doing our best to help all our residents. As for your door having only 8 inches to walk, our snowblowers are about two feet wide so I don't know how that could be. Our parking is not assigned. Residents are allowed 2 spaces per apartment. We do not monitor where people park and/or residents' guests. Trash issue is that we do not have a dumpster, we have a compactor which more than adequately will take care of the trash that is put in it. The problem is residents will not put their trash into the compactor chute, they just throw it out in front of the compactor and then our staff puts it in the chute. The "GHETTO" comment I'm confused on what your meaning is. All our residents go through the same approval screening. We don't allow people with felony convictions to reside at Spinnaker.

First off - all because you don't ALLOW people with felony convictions to reside at Spinnaker doesn't mean they aren't there. And, besides that - I never said anything about anyone there being a felon. When I'm talking about how this place is "ghetto" - I'm talking about the entire place in general. The neighbors are rude - the office staff is rude - the trash DUMP is absolutely disgusting.
As far as the "trash compactor" - which, yes, fine it technically is a "compactor" - it's basically used as a DUMPSTER. The residents DUMP all of their trash on and around the outside of the "compactor" and by the end of the week - it is overflowing and absolutely disgusting. If you paid the city to actually pick up the trash more than ONCE a week for over 500 apartment units, there wouldn't be this problem.
And as far as the snow removal...yes, I understand it's a hard and tedious job to accomplish after a snowstorm. HOWEVER. I have pictures proving that there was ONLY about 8 inches between the snow bank on the outside of the door and the door frame - which kept us from being able to open the door wide enough to actually get into the door. And the fact that I called at 9 o'clock in the morning and asked SPECIFICALLY for this door to be cleaned - when I got home at 5 this had not been done and it was still an issue. So I went into the office and asked face to face - and when I left the next morning, nothing had still yet been done, however, I will admit it WAS clean by the time I got home that NEXT day.
Parking. First off - the amount of cars in the complex which have stickers telling the resident that if they don't move the car it will be towed...THAT is ghetto. Granted, they DO get towed if they're NOT moved - however there doesn't need to be the issue in the first place. For instance - as I've brought this up before and nothing was done - there is a car in the complex which has a gunshot in its windshield and is very un-sightly. I understand the complex has no say over personal property of resident's - however, to me that shows the TYPE of person who lives in this complex.

I must say... I was going to visit the complex to consider living here, but the number of reviews that say the staff is extremely rude and nasty made me change my mind. A lot of problems can be tolerated if the staff is at least pleasant and helpful, but doesn't sound like that is the case here. Maybe staff needs training on customer service.

I tell you what. I was really close to renting here. I went through the process they check my references and whatever they do. One girl told me that I wouldn't have a deposit, and applications would be...yes...$0. The only thing I would have to do is pay first month's rent. Good thing I didn't sign anything, bc the next week I came to the apartment to go ahead with everything and I was talking to a different lady, and the next thing I know I am having to pay for a application fee which is crazy, and a big deposit, then well rent. How does it go from just rent to application fees and big deposit. Plus before I actually pulled in I saw a 'ghetto' car on like 50" rims that had bad words and it was all spray painted every where. "nice police patrol on that one!!!" I can understand why this apartment has to off 300 dollars to their renters. They can't get anyone to live here. I wouldn't live here for free. YES....THE STAFF IS RIDICOULOUS. ps...clean up the goose crap!!! I had to play hop-scotch around it on the side walk.
