I've only been here for 6 months and it's almost time to move out. This is seriously a great place to live. I am a 21-year-old woman, live alone, and always feel safe! The only two negative things are number 1. PARKING!!! Even this week I have had to park 4 buildings down and walk alllllll the way to my apartment. If you don't get home before 5:30, you WILL have to park far away if you're 1 bedroom. IT SUCKS. Especially when it's snowing. Speaking of, they don't get the complex plowed until after 10am. 2. Noise. The people here are amazingly quiet, but if you're laying in bed and someone goes outside to talk on the phone, you will hear their entire conversation as if they're in the same room with you. You can hear cars driving, doors slamming, dogs barking, people walking on the sidewalk, etc. The GOOD thing about it is that the people ARE quiet. I'm sure in the summer it will be loud with children..not good for those who work 3rd shift. Oh, and the traffic on Rockville sucks.

Over-all...move here. You will love it.

Parking isn't bad just in front of the 1-bedroom buildings; it's horrible in front of our building too and we're in a 2-bedroom. I should probly add that i'm a current resident of Steeplechase and have been for 2 yrs. You're right about everything else as well. Our patio faces our neighbor's patios so we don't have any privacy either. Privacy as in, if our neighbors were also outside, they could easily hear every word we were saying. Our blinds are closed every night. Very nice and well-maintained apts though! And crime free!
