My husband and I moved to Stoneridge 2 1/2 years ago. We were under the impression that the new community was looking for clean and quiet tennants. We asked for an apartment that had a view of the woods and was on the quiet side of the complex. Said building was a "pet" building and since we did not have a pet, we were advised to get an apartment in a non-pet building. We agreed. On the day we signed our lease, we found out just as we were leaving the office that our new home was located in a "pet" building. We were flabbergasted to say the least. When we looked things over we found that there was a lot of damage from the company that moved in our washer and dryer rental. We were told that the w/d was a new set and for $40 a month, we could rent it until we got our own. The washer was dirty and musty; the dryer was worse. I called and asked for it to be removed and to apply our $40 to next month's rent. The office had them removed with more damage. I faxed a complete list (18 items) of things that were wrong that needed to be fixed. Needless to say only one thing was done. We took photos and gave them copies to put in our file. We have not had any help from that office nor have they done anything to try and keep us "great residents". We will be moving soon and they will no longer be able to lie to us any longer. Except for the office and maintainence staff, we liked the neighborhood. They have lowered their standards for residents and have left the complex to rake and ruin!
