An O.K. apartment

These are OK apartments. I have lived here for 3 months. I was suppose to move into a regular one bedroom on a certain date, then shortly before that I was informed that I could not move into that apartment because the girl that was moving out extended her lease a month. Then they said they could move me to a different one bedroom w/a fireplace for the same price. They acted like they were doing ME a favor. Hello! Not my fault she extended her lease. I had already paid a holding fee expecting to move in the day I was told.
The cable sucks!!! You have to get your cable and internet through them, and I have had my cable go out 3 times (so far) and the longest it was out for 5 days. I had to keep calling the office to insist they issue me a credit. Why should I pay for something for 5 days that's not working''
I recently got a job on the northside (I was working downtown) and I talked to them to see if I could possible terminate my lease early. They basically told me I'm stuck in it. Even though when you go to the office they have "sold out" signs next to the pictures of their one bedroom models so they would obviously have no trouble finding someone else to lease it.
I have 2 cats and they charged me a $300 NON-REFUNDABLE pet fee. My cats have never done any damage to any apartments i've lived in and it's absolutely ridiculous to have to pay this kind of fee. Where does this money go anyway' IF there was any damage to my apartment, wouldn't they charge me a fee at the end of my lease' Instead, if there was any damage, they would get their $300 from the pet fee PLUS charge me another fee. Ridiculous!!
I'm definitely not renewing my lease. The apartments themselves are somewhat decent but don't be fooled by the all the sucking up they do to you when you first inquire about them.

If your life situation changes, NO apartment complex is going to let you out of your lease early. That's what a lease is--legal binding document of you COMMITTING to be in that space for a designated amount of time. Letting a tenant out of a lease early is just not how business' work; otherwise, they'd lose large amounts of money having people moving in and out of the apartments on whims. So don't let that be a bad point about Sundance. That is a common business practice EVERYWHERE.

not really, actually most apartments have a lease break policy such as 60 days notice and 2 months rent. That's how most reputable businesses do things. Stuff happens in life and you cant always know about it 12 months in advance. From what I've read here today, you could not pay me to live at this complex. not to mention Fair housing, guess the office manager didn't take that Grace Hill class
