Don't believe their hype

Hermitage was purchsed by another management company, so all the old office staff is gone. If you call the office number and press "1" for leasing information it will tell you they have recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, and are currently leasing beautifully remodeled apartment-homes. Nothing could be further from the truth! It took over three months just to get a mailbox door replaced, and I work with multiple families who have water damage, leaking faucets, non-functional toilets, and a bunch of other things wrong with their apartments.
I have personally received great help from the Speedway Police Department regarding issues at Hermitage.
I called the Executive Director of the Speedway Redevelopment Project to try and get more info on when the apartments will be demolished. He said the city has not yet purchased them, but he wouldn't recommend moving in to Hermitage if you plan on living there for two years.

DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!! When I decided to move into the Hermitage I was shown the model which of course is adorable. I was told all the apartments look just like it. The day of signing my lease I wanted to look at my apartment first. I was assured by the "office staff" we was heading straight to it after the lease signing.. (red flags anyone?)honest person I am I signed. BIG MISTAKE I immediatelty walked into my new apartment to find a total mess! the ceiling was caving in in the living room, the water was on and stuck full blast in the kitchen sink, one of the burners in the stove was off and hanging, the kitchen floor was peeling and coming up in places to show you the previous lanolium under it, not to mention the bathroom floor that was broken and falling apart, with the toilet pulled away. I was shocked and sick knowing I was "stuck" into this postion. I then learned from thier own Maintenance staff that they had only 2 hours notice before my move in to even clean the apartment. Since the new owners Van Rooy took over not one thing has been replaced or fixed. They continue to sink money into the outside of the apartment complex to make it look presentable. Aka slapping a few coats of paint in the halls etc. but refuse to replace or fix any complaints going on inside the apartments. The only blessings I have found here are my neighbors. Not all the tenants are drug dealers, strippers, etc. Take my advice do not get sucked in like I have.. it is a never ending headache.
