I lived at Marina from 2000 to 2002 when I got the bug to buy a house. I should have known that the house deal for $550 was too good to be true and it was. Even with a fixed interest rate, my mortgage went from $550 in 2000 when I bought my house to over $850 by the time I was forced to sell. I came back to Marina because I liked the lake view I had before. I was pleasently suprised to find the an updated apartment. My new place not only had the lake view that I liked so well, but new cabinets, carpet and appliances to boot. I think they should do something with the parking lots, they look terrible, but the staff are all very friendly and the maintenance guys are quick to respond to my calls. So I'll be here for a long time. By the way, if you are considering buying a home, that's great, just read the fine print and have the house appraised on your own, you won't be sorry.
