Not too bad...

My roommate and I have been at the Marina since October 2005. We chose this apartment community mostly because of the move-in special they were offering at the time. We payed a $1 application fee, a $99 security deposit and the first month of rent was free. The community is located right across the street from Warren Central High School and has easy access to both I-70 and I-465.

I wasn't too sure about living here when we first moved in, but the new management has made some improvements to the community since then. Most notably, they have completely resurfaced the driveways and parking lots which proved to be a huge improvement over the pot hole laden roads we had before. They have also painted and roofed all of the units as well as done a bit of landscaping.

I made my first call to maintenance last week to report a leaking faucet in the bathroom. A repairman was sent out promptly (within an hour) and he made quick work of fixing the problem.

The only trouble I have experienced here has been due to sub-par neighbors, which is to be expected in any apartment community, most especially one with low rental rates. There are children constantly running around outside in the parking lot and from the way they stand and stare at oncoming traffic, I get the feeling that their parents have sent them out into the lot specifically to get hit by a car.

I have also had trouble with parking recently. A group of five or six guys (construction workers I assume) have moved into the two bedroom next door and they bring their five or six work trucks home with them every night. This can make parking absolutely horrible at times, as they like to park all of their vehicles right in front of the building.

If you're looking for low rental rates and a good location within Warren Township, I would recommend the Marina.
