There has been nothing but problems with this place. I moved to WOC in June 2007 and can't wait to get out of it!
Took them almost 2 months to get my walls painted correctly (They painted the wrong walls when I moved in so I had to put post-it notes on which wall I wanted painted).
I currently have a leak in my ceiling that I've called maintenance about at least 4 times. They have done nothing about it to date.
Constant break-ins throughout the neighborhood. My neighbor had her apartment broken into as well as her car. She called the 'courtesy officer' and he took two days to come over.
Had several attempts of someone trying to break in to my apartment while I was in it! Had to call the police to come out and search the premesis.
Lots of people/kids running around the neighborhood at all hours of the night.
Had someone hit my car as I was backing out of the parking lot because the person was driving at about 40mph through the neighborhood!
They lost one of my rent checks and finally found it a day later, which made it late so they charged me $50 for a late fee!
I've made several complaints to the office and to the Gene Glick Company. They don't seem to care and keep giving me the same answer. Saying that 'crime can happen anywhere'. Seems to happen here a lot more often that any other place that I've lived. THIS PLACE IS UNSAFE!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!

FROM THE WOODS OF CASTLETON MANAGEMENT TEAM: Unfortunately it appears that several issues have caused some uneasiness for you. First, the issue with the painting of the walls; it seems there was some miscommunication but we hope you are satisfied with the results. According to our records, we were not notified of the continual ceiling problems you were experiencing until October 9, 2007. At that time the issue was resolved with in 24 hours, which is according to our company policy. We take great pride in the level of maintenance service provided to our residents. Should you still be experiencing issues in your apartment home, please bring them to our attention and they will be resolved promptly. Regarding crime, it knows no address and occurs all over the city without provocation. Our Courtesy Officer is professional and responds to all calls immediately. In your particular case, no address was left on the message and a non-working phone number was given. Even with our best efforts, not everyone abides by our community regulations of speeding, etc. This is an unfortunate circumstance of the world we live in. As you are aware, rent payments are sent to our Corporate Office via the postal mail system and are entered daily upon arrival. Payments are due on the first of each month; however, a late fee is not assessed until the tenth of the month. It is our opinion that ten days is ample time for mail delivery if the payment is mailed before the first of the month. Lastly, we as a Company do care and take great pride in our community. We encourage anyone reading this to visit us so that we may show you the level of service we provide. Sincerely, Jaynie Bensheimer, Property Manager (317) 842-5789

I too refuse to live here. I called for information on q 2 bedroom apartment and was told to apply online. When I did I never heard anything back. After me leaving 3 voice mail messages over 3 days, Stephanie finally calls me back and left a rude message on my phone. This turned me away from wanting to apply at this complex. I am now calling around to other complexes.

Dear Anonymous, We do apologize for any rudeness or unprofessional behavior that you may have received from the office staff. At the time in question we did offer an option of applying online, if all the required information had been supplied, then we should have contacted you in a timely manner. Our online application is a valuable resource that we as a company rely on and has been very useful for prospective residents in completing the application process. We can understand how this would have left you dissatisfied and wanting to look elsewhere. We are sorry that we lost you as a possible resident and wish you the best on your future search for a Home that you can be proud of. If you should have any questions or like to discuss the issue, you may contact our office at your convenience. Sincerely, The Woods of Castleton Staff.
