I have never been more unhappy with any place that I have ever lived than I was with Valley Forge.
I counted of ten types of bugs, not the least of which was an invasion of Earwigs. Prior to living there, I didn't even know what an earwig was. I asked repeatedly for them to spray, and they never did. The office staff is completely useless and the rudest group of people you'll ever encounter. I also had a mouse problem. I had 3 in the year that I lived there. Again I asked for them to take care of this problem, but the only thing they would do was to set sticky traps. It was absolutely disgusting!!
There was a water leak from an water heater upstairs, but I couldn't get hold of emergency maintenance. Emergency maintanence consists of the office phone being forwarded to the psychotic owner's home. When I asked her about it, she got completely defensive & excessively rude. She stated (loudly) that she was at the grocery store. So, basically, if you have an emergency issue, you'll have to wait until she comes home. They never did much about all the water that was pouring between the walls, and all around the ceiling. That and the leaky air conditioning, and you've got a mold mine. I'm not even going to get started on the laundry room.
The kicker is, if you complain, you'll be forced to move. I wrote a three page letter a week before I was scheduled to sign a new lease, stating these issues. My only response was a poorly written note stating that Valley Forge would not be renewing my lease.
The sad thing is, that if these were managed my a SANE and DECENT person, who actually cared about her tenants, these would be great apartments. I worry for all the elderly people who live there, because it's my belief that those apartments have wiring problems, mold spores, and pest infestations.

PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND KEEP LOOKING!!!!!

if you had bugs you brought them with you we have not had any complaints about bugs, & we have got older people that has lived with us for 26 & 30 years if we didn't care about our residents the good and decent people would not have stayed so long its people like you taht we don't need

there were bugs in my apartment from day 1. i went to the office that day to complain and was told that they were MY problem. we bought bug spray and dealt with it. please don't accuse me of bringing bugs with me when you weren't even around at the time (i have read that the apartments are under new management). my problems were QUITE REAL but they were with sanja, not with you. i could go on and on about the problems i had there but it's best for my blood pressure if i just put those days behind me. thanks.
