Other than how hot --- is, this place is a total disaster. Here are a few examples of what to expect if you become a resident at Valley Forge: First, they have old, rusty spiral staircases that are not only too narrow, but you won't feel safe as the staircase wobbles and shakes underneath you due to the EXTREME amount of rust that has collected over the years. Next, I hope you like cold showers, unless you can get in and out in less than 30 seconds, because that is how long the hot water lasts. If something comes up and you have to move before your contract is finished, even if it is by only a month or so, you will not get your deposit back. Even though my apartment was in better condition when I moved out than it was when I moved in, the deposit was a no-go.
To sum it all up, the only reason I stayed as long as I did was for that time every month when I would go pay my bill I would get to see the most beautiful woman in the world on the other side of that counter. There she would be, staring back at me, and when our eyes met (well, my eyes, her eye) I could swear there were actually sparks flying (actually, come to think of it, those sparks were probably from the faulty overhead A/C unit).
P.S. In previous comments --- mentions living with drug runners at other apartment complexes...but now that Valley Forge is going to be a low income housing unit, expect your next door neighbor to hook you up with your next fix.

Clearly this person is not in a new unit. The entire complex is being renovated. Most of the old stair cases are gone and are replaced with sturdy ones that are up to code. Construction is still replacing the old ones. Second, the new homes have INDIVIDUAL water heaters in EVERY unit. I don't know anything about deposits, so I won't touch on that. Third, Valley Forge is NOT a low-income housing unit. It is TAX CREDIT HOUSING. How does Section 42 differ from other rental assistance programs such as Section 8?
Despite the name, tax credit housing is NOT low-income housing. The tax credit program is designed to provide affordable housing for moderate-income households. Section 42 is a tax benefit granted to the owner for a particular rental apartment. The owner is then required to lease that rental apartment to individuals who do not exceed the set maximim income levels. When leasing the apartment, the renter benefits from the program by paying a lower rental amount. This is quoted from the AHMA Pacific Southwest Website. There is no tolerance for "drug runners". Valley Forge is a quiet neighborhood. Too bad you felt differently.
