So happy I found the Victoria. Safe as can be, clean, and great service. Really freindly people work here and seem to be genuinely concerned for us. They go out of their way to help at times. The building is located just right for me, close to school, perhaps best of all...new Star Bucks opening just a block to the West! Yay! This is about a hundred year old building but everything has been updated very recently it seems. My car has never been bothered and neither have I. I come and go with a feeling of safety & comfort. The laundry room is awesome...soda machine, snacks, electronic dart board and always clean and no lines. There is free storage for each apartment that they could charge for but don't. The only bad thing is no elevator but it keeps me in shape, for sure. Overall, great deal. No worries.

It's amazing how all of these positive reviews pop up immediately after a few negative reviews. Either this many people are completely jaded to the real living conditions at the victoria, or they're fake reviews. The laundry room is very clean most of the time. Too bad at least 1 washer (out of 3) is broken on a constant basis. And everything seems updated? So, single pane, antique glass windows seem updated to you? And radiator-based heat? Or do you mean the 1970's kitchen? Maybe you forgot to notice how the fire escape is broken and unusable. That wouldn't make ME feel very safe.
Don't get me wrong - other than the noise, and how horrendously the temperature varies during the winter, I was pretty happy at the Victoria. But anyone saying that this apartment complex is SAFE, or is in a good area, is either completely jaded, or just lieing.

I'm happy too. Its nearly perfect for me. But "hbtiv", when did you live here? Your reviews are so silly. You describe south central downtown L.A. Indy is great! This area has improved so much lately, last couple years I think. Ideal for downtown work & school plus Star Bucks one block away! Makes you sound like you're just a weirdo or someone who lost their eviction, or with WAY too much free time.
