I am in dental school at IUPUI and have lived here for 2 years. The owner and maintenance man are very friendly and willing to work out any problems that may arise. The building is old but in pretty good condition. The steam heat makes getting a constant temperature pretty difficult, but it is usually not a problem. The property is very well maintained and beautiful in the summer. The parking area is gated on only costs $15 per month or you can easily find a space on the street. It is only a 5 minute drive to IUPUI campus. I usually ride my bike to school or walk to the Clarian Canal Station hospital and take the tram to school. The location is ideal. You can walk downtown (15 min) or take a $5 cab each way. The area is on the cusp of being a bit shady, but there are many new building renovations being done in the area. I have never felt unsafe, and I usually go for a jog on the canal at night. I researched many apartments before deciding on this location and have been very satisfied. You will NOT find a better deal in the downtown area.
