I was basically paying $423 a month for a $399 a month apartment. I was not allowed to see the apartment before I rented it or signed the lease. What ever you don't do this! If they did this to you or is still doing this practice, contact your local H.U.D.office report them, contact me at signal5by5@yahoo.com if you need a witness to this practice. The only good thing about the apartment I rented there was the carpet was new. On this R.U.B.S. fee, I had a signed document from the complex saying it did not apply or not applicable. And for the first three months, I did not pay this fee. Then on the fourth month on my door was a request for payment for R.U.B.S. fee. I did not not pay it, the next month it was on my door again, demanding payment for two months with a deadline. I let this past too, and the next thing on my door was an eviction notice. I complained to the manager, she said on my lease gas was not checked and I had to pay! I show her the document I got from this complex saying it was not applicable, they would not honor it! When my lease was up, I was out of there, they had the nerve to raise my rent by $20 a a month, plus the R.U.B.S. fee, if you want covered parking, thats an extra $15 a month, the R.U.B.S fee varied from $15 to $20 a month for a one bedroom. If I wanted to renew my lease, it was month to month extra $100 a month, $75 a month for three month lease, $50 a month for a 9 month lease, and $25 a month for a six month lease. At this time a renovated one bedroom was going for $449, my apartment was not renovated. As far as noise and roaches, it all depends on who you live around. I did not have any of these problems. I would not recommend these apartments!
