I chose Bent Tree due to the floorplans and the price. I am a single, 23 year old girl, and one of my main concerns was being in a safe area. I asked the leasing agent and he said I'd have nothing to worry about. WRONG. The cops come here almost on a daily basis. There are always people hanging around in the parking lot. I often come home late from work and have to take my dog outside, I do NOT feel safe. (I myself have called the police on one occation. I have been here January '06-May '06)

Secondly, my lease is up on May 31st. They sent me a notice April 26th saying I need to let them know if I'm renewing or not. (I'm not.) I went to the office today, and I was informed that despite the fact they sent the letter on the 26th, I had to give them 60 days notice prior to leaving. I am now apparently responsible for rent in June (market price or my lease price, whichever is more) PLUS $250. I was informed that this is in my lease, so I would encourage potencial renters out there to READ YOUR LEASE!!!

I also had an issue with maintence, today! They have always been friendly, however, today they removed my washer/dryer (per my request) and they flooded my laundry room, attempted to clean it by using my bathtowels, and left the towels in my sink, and water all over my floors!

Finally, NOISE. Tenant in this area have NO problems bumping their bass and music at full blast at all times of the night during the week. (Weekends, I understand, but some people have to work in the mornings!) The walls are also PAPER thin. The bedrooms are backed on to eachother, so I can hear all bedroom activity in other apartments. (Unpleasant, to say the least.)

Overall, my biggest concern was saftey. But recently the service/treatment from the office has also increased my desire to GET OUT!
