Reading the other messages about the bugs, the dirty hallways, mystery charges etc...just makes me want to say Amen! I have experienced all of these situations and more. My husband and I have been residents since late 2004, we renewed our lease not because this community is just that great (trust me it's not) but because of convience and location. I, like others, was attracted to Bent Tree because of the floor plans and the price, but I started having problems before the ink dried on our lease..the apartment that we moved in was not the floor plan that we asked for, and agreed upon before commiting. We asked for a 1 bd room w/ den and a fire place ...we got a 1 bd room w/ den with NO fireplace, but still had to pay the additional cost because they put us on the lake which was not our request. We pay our rent early and we had a credit of about $90 on our account due to an over payment, but somehow our credit was eaten up and we had a bal ''' the office could not explain what happened..we have wierd bugs in our apartment home we had to buy bug spray and roach motels and spray around our doors and patio, we keep a roach motel outside our door. Our entry way is nasty, the carpet is always dirty. Cold air was coming throught the cracks in our windows and patio doors, we had to put up plastic, we complained but it took them months to respond. Parking is horrible, the my neighbors have trash on their patios (broken up furniture). I could go on and but, I would not recommend this community to anyone..the only thing that it has going for them is the location and price. As soon as our lease is up this year we will be moving out!
