Do not move in here

This is the worst apartment complex I've lived in. Its harder than ever to get anything fixed, even if it is an emergency. It takes at a minimum 3 tries to get maintenace to fix anything and for minor things it can take months. And there isn't any real emergency maintenance. I had water spraying out of the water heater all over the place and soaking the brand new carpeting they had laid and it took 5 hours for anyone to come and fix it, even though it was put into maintenance as an emergency.
Its a dangerous place to live, with people firing guns in the middle of the night. The maintenance staff drive golf carts around and I have had several instances where I was almost hit while walking and almost hit while driving my car.
The office staff act nice and like they are trying to help, but no amount of complaining gets anything fixed.
The staff won't keep up the outside areas. The only time they will fix anything is if you threaten legal action. For example there were huge pot holes everywhere that were marked to be fixed for months without any action. It was not until my boyfriend lost a hubcap in one and threatened they would have to pay if he lost anymore or if he happened to fall in one, that they fixed anything.
I moved here because I had lived in a previous AIMCO property and loved it. However, I will never live in one of their properties again and suggest that no one else live in one either.
