I have been treated extremely badly even before I moved in. I was trying to live here because of the huge sq. footage and low rent prices. The manager would not have any give when it came to moving in she wouldnt even hold the apt. for us for two weeks so we had to pay rent for two apts. I feel extremely unsafe in this apartment complex, and I use to live on west 38th st and I felt 100% safer there living alone. For example at Bent Tree there are homeless people living in the laundry rooms pissing in the drains and the urine is leaking in the ceilings turning them yellow and the halls smell. The neighbors are violent and loud we have had to call the police 3 times. One time was for a hit and run, and the guy hitting and running live across the street in the same complex. The leasing office caught on fire and that was where half the amenties are ex. the gym. Well I can understand that it burned but they had a second leasing office location already and now 8 months into my lease they have not made a new exercise room or offered gym admission, which was a promised amenities. When we firsted walked though the apt. the first day we moved in there were things wrong which were supposed to be fixed. For example there were socket covers missing (we have a small dog) and missing microwave, etc 8 months later we are still waiting. And the things that did get fixed were due to my boyfriend going to the maintenance shed and getting the supplies himself. Never move in...even our leasing agent wants out of this place....but he will only have 7 days to move out after he quits. The apts look good and are a fair price but safety is a huge issue. For example our complex had a neighborhood watch meeting and a man showed up there drunk the police tried to escort him out but he ran and they chased him but lost him. he lives in this complex he ran to his apt. and returned to the meeting swinging a knife...did you see it on the news''' Please your safety is more important than sq footage. I would like to contact people who are having the same trouble I am here so something can be done about it. Nobody ever answers the phone here, I have detailed phone billing and can prove it but would like to have others as well with the same issues of safety and poor office staff help. Trying to blame it on the people in charge of fixing the apartments but it isn't their fault the management is bad and don't empower their employees to use their brain and not repeat paragraphs out of a book and blame maintence for them when its their mistakes because they DO NOT RELAY THE MESSAGES TO THE PROPER PEOPLE AND DON"T ANSWSER THE PHONE! MY daughter closets have fell out almost on top of her, all of them are broke and my other duaghter whom is one stuck her fingers behind the outlet facing that was loose and not flush against the wall. I am leaving here and am willing to go to court over these issues because they want me to pay 2 months after I give my 2 months notice, so that is 4 months of rent after being notified.
