Not sure what the others mean; I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I've been with the Waterstone for about 1 year now. I have had nothing but great experiences so far. I've read the previous postings, but cannot relate; maybe I haven't been here long enough, but I doubt that if I stay longer, the service would change for the worse (unless completely new management took over). I have made two complaints about my noisy upstairs neighbors, and both were handled immediately with a follow-up call. I even had my neighbor (who knows I live below her and only knows I complained because I told her; the staff protects your identity) apologize to me in person for the noise. I've had no problems since. Also, my maintenance request are handled quickly and efficiently. When I was living on a month-to-month lease due to my job assignment status, the office worked with me as far as 'outs' if I had to move suddenly; and when I finally DID re-sign for a year lease, they were offering just one of the many specials they offer and it saved me $550!!!! I only paid $119 dollars for August 2003 rent. You can't beat that.
Parking isn't the best, but for such an overweight society, none of us can really complain about a much needed small walk across a patch of grass to get to our building. The biggest problem I have with the community are the Canadian geese. If you live by the lake, expect late nights and early mornings because all through winter, those d**n geese quack and honk all the time protecting their nests. I hate the geese!! I believe the complex should do more about them. Also, the 1-year lease opt out provision is the pits. Even if you are relocated from your job out of state and must break your lease, you have to pay UP TO 6 months of the lease, then they add another 60 days (2 months) on for time to lease it, and then there is a 1-month break lease fee. This is almost 9mths of a lease that you won't even benefit from if you've moved. The best way to break a lease is to find someone to rent it before you leave (before they do) because you aren't obligated for the 9mths if they rent it. Just a suggestion.
Other than that, I think the complex is a great way to meet people, I get all my packages on time, the pool has a picnic and grill area which is great, I don't even have to join a gym because the workout room is packed - 8 cardio machines, a weight rotater machine, and men and women's bathhrooms with showers! The clubhouse is beautiful and is only $200 to rent (which is refundable based on the clean-up).
