I moved out on August 1 due to my apartment being burglarized and the apartment management not caring one bit. In February, I wanted to break my lease due to my brand new vehicle being vandalized along with my property. Now, the office wants to take me to court over $350 b/c I refuse to pay the last month's rent. When my house was burglarized, they replaced the window before I even got home and called the police. In addition, they informed me that they do not know where my house key is. I would NEVER advise anyone to move into these apartments!!!

I feel your sentiments. I 'survive' in Stonegate Place Apartments in Ohio. I have been broken into and sexually assaulted BY ONE OF THE GUARDS formerly "assigned" to "protect" the place (he was ONLY reassigned to a DIFFERENT apartment complex), stolen from off my person BY SUPPOSED "NEIGHBORS"...and told it was 'my word against theirs' when I both reported it AND have proof of the semen/blood stained clothing...etc. Again, I feel your pains. WHY is it that "low-income housing" is synonymous with 'ghetto' housing...ESPECIALLY if they are SUPPOSEDLY performing some sort of "rigorous screening" before a person/family enters?
