23 year old IUPUI student, molly dattilo, was kidnapped from her apartment in westlake, and has still not been found- after almost 2 years.
18 year old, alyson gee, was kidnapped from the same area on the exact same day.
in westlake, there are break-ins and domestic disturbances every, single day.
this is NOT a safe place for students, women, children... ANYONE. please think twice before renting here- and on the westside at all, for that matter.
according to a friend of mine, who is an IPD sherriff's deputy, westlake apartment community has an "extremely high incidence of crime."
PLEASE- LEASE AT YOUR OWN RISK. keep your doors locked- don't talk to anyone- and never, ever jog/walk at night.

Yes, Westlake is bad but Molly was not kidnapped from her apt. She disappeared while walking from her apt to Wendy's to fill out a job app. But your safety advice is very good and folks should take it.
