I've had a lease at Westlake for a little more than a year because my son lives there. Sure, the neighbors are noisy sometimes and the smell of weed is pretty strong in some buildings, especially on the weekends. Maintenance could be more prompt. But, for crying out loud: for what you're paying in rent, you have to expect some inconvenience. Most of what people complain about here is true of every apartment complex. I've been there, done that. Besides, if you are paying more than $600 in rent, buy a house! It's been a buyer's market for two years or more.

I've lived in Apartments where I've paid less than I am paying at WestLAME, and they have been 100 times better than this place. There is no justifying it, this place is terrible. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to be completely honest. But I guess some people just don't give a crap where they live, *cough*
