I have lived here for almost 4 years, and a really bad 4 years at that. You ask why I stayed.... b/c my credit was bad and they was the only place that would take me then. well i have lived in 3 different apts since i've lived here. 1st one was ok until i had some guy break into my apt while i was there, 4 mths pregnant, and say i stole his dog. well needless to say when he broke down my bathroom door to get me and my dog, he chashed him out.. good dog! so i moved closer to the office. that was ok until my neighbors claimed i had a pit. so they threatend to kick me out, my dog is a boxer, with papers. once that battle was won i decided to move over to a 2 bedroom since i now had a 1 yr old. my apt was on the main street and my apt its self was good. my neighbors however are a totally different story. my upstairs neighbor thought he ruled the building since he had been there the longest so he played his music all hours of the night, smoked his weed all day, sold drugs, had all his noisy friends stomp up and down the stairs, and let his be-be kids play in the hallway. i called the security guards daily and the police. and i always called the office as well. you know that whole " no drug policy " yeah thats a joke!!! since the cops came and found weed on his table when he opened the door. they didnt arrest him and the office let him stay, what a crock of ----!! so his family tortured me and my family until they finally did get kicked out, which they came back and sliced my tires. gee thanks! and now my current problem is roaches, yuck! i've never had this problem and now with new dirty neighbors i do. i have called 4 times in a month and they keep coming back. i have told them over and over to spray the whole row but do they listen, no! and now that i have told them i am moving out, they say "well IF we get this problem fixed will you stay' " UM HECK NO!! Do not move in here it is a joke, the office staff suck, the maintance break more things then they fix, and the security is not around anymore. worst place to live. streets are looking better to me then that apt!

I hear you....we are finally moving out in two weeks. this place is not safe for anyone....I hope you get out soon too.

MY LEASE IS UP IN 7 MONTHS...WE ARE OUT AFTER 11 YEARS...WESTALKE HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN FOR THE LAST YEARS AND HALF. IF YOUR THINKING THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE....MOVE TO PORT O'CALL AT LEAST U'LL GET TREATED BETTER.

Port O'Call is just as bad yeah the office ppl may be nice but the ppl there will make your life hell. i have known so many ppl that have lived there and have had their cars broken into, apts broken into, and all the fights and gun drama is not worth it. i'm heading back to the southwest side where i grew up ( decatur township ) I only have 2 more months and I'm out.
