As of August 2009 i will have lived in Westlake Apartments for 1 year. I will not be renewing my lease. The community and neighboors were PERFECT. Not alot of noise. Peaceful place to live. However, i have a friend who currently stays in Westlake and one who previously did..both of them AND i have complaints of insect problems. ANTS!! REALLY REALLY REALLY bad!! Mostly in the kitchen, sometimes the bathroom. I dont know about my friends, but im not a messy person. Im not too much of a cooker..so the cause isnt cause of me leaving food and/or out. With out even cooking my kitchen has to be cleaned THROUGHLY at least 3xs a week or i will literally have ant piles on the counters. I've had my apartment sprayed twice and bombed once all in a matter of 7 months. It gets kinda frustrating! The ants always return. Cause of this, im unable to keep food in my cabinet. Which limits the types of foods i can buy. Has to be canned or put in the frig. Which leds me to say food in the freezer is easly freezer burned. There have been a few reports of apartments getting robbed, BUT the letter sent out stated "apartments were left unlocked". Management is always nice and respectful. No problem with parking. If it weren't for the ants i would happily renew my lease.

I dont understand why you would be having ants bad...maybe you need to clean up after yourself...I have been living here for going 11yrs.And the only problem I seem to have is all the ------- trash they have been moving in.Yes trash.I havent been this pissed about westlake since i moved in.People need to watch there ------- kids and this would be a better place to live.And the office staff...they are jokes.And the safty out here...lol thats a joke.we have no one watching our homes at night,or cars, nothing they are to cheap to get someone to do it.
