Decent, some problems

Well, I never really had any complaints with the apartments until I tried getting my security deposit back about 1 year after I lived there. I waited for a few months to get the deposit back, but it never came. About 1 year after moving out I found my old lease and remembered that the deposit never came, so I decided to give them a call about it. So far, I have contacted the leasing office 4 times, and the "owner" (CMS - Comprehensive Management Services) 2 times. I keep getting the run-around and never get any return calls. This has been going on for nearly 3 months now. It's too bad I have to write a negative review. The only real experience we had with the management/maintenance was asking for new furnace filter because the old one was COMPLETETLY clogged. That was part of the reason why our heating bill was incredibly expensive. (The drafty door & fireplace were other issues.)
We generally liked the place, the view from our 2nd floor balcony was nice, and the condition of the apartment's interior was good. The neighbors were occasionally noisy, but polite.
I probably wouldn't have liked living there for more than 1 year, but the price they gave us made it bearable.
Update: It took about 8 months, many unreturned phone calls to the management and CMS, but after I filed complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the Indiana Attorney General's Office then I received my security deposit about a year and half after moving out.
