Wildwood is becoming the community is was many years ago. Quiet, attractive, with a diverse clientle, good maintenance, and improvements. It had gone downhill when Flaherty and Collins owned it; they are a filthy bunch who had illegal aliens from Cuba to do the "cleaning", so you can imagine.... They also allowed multiple violations of state and local fire codes to exist, endangering the residents who would have been held responsible for fires. But those scumbags are gone.
The new ownership/managment is CMS and they are doing a great job of renovating the property. The buildings now look like new, with fresh paint on new siding, beautiful glass entrance doors, proper exterior lighting and well-marked parking. They even re-installed a fountain in one of the lakes, adding ambiance. The maintenance staff is terrific; the supervisor, Jim, gets everything taken care of quickly. There is even an on-site construction team to do repairs. Everyone is friendly and accomdating.
We have seen a higher quality of residents, neighbors who are quiet and respectful of others. With Flaherty and Collins we had criminals and illegals, and the problems that accompanied them. We now have many Marion and Butler college students, career professionals, and retirees.
With any property, there will always be maintenance and "people" issues. It comes with the beast. But the quality here and the seeming intentions of continually improving the physical plant and reputation of Wildwood, make it worth moving to and living in.

Ohhh is this Aaron who works for CMS, sure sounds like you. Get real please. CMS is the worst and shadiest management company ever. If you think you are going to fool people by putting some phony review on here, wake up. You can't argue with the pictures on here. What has CMS done about the big gaping hole in the "security" fence? What have they done about the squatters in the empty apartments? What have they done about the molded out apartments? What have they done about the horrible staff especially Jennifer and Tammy? What have they done about their other properties that are in foreclosure? What have they done about the "jacuzzi" that didn't work before they lost the property to F&C. Why did they have their utilities cut off for not paying the bills? Please, don't post on here about an apartment complex that you work for. And by the way, there are Cubans who use the net, why would you be dumb enough to use racial slurs on here. Idiot CMS staff!

I am not Aaron. I do not know who he is, and I do not work for CMS. Please do not prejudge posters just because you think they are being surreptitious. When I moved here in June 2006, the complex was not owned and operated by CMS. My apartment was filthy. There were rusted tools in my kitchen cabinets, spiders in all the cabinets, the windows were so dirty I could not see out of them, the carpet reeked of urine, and one month later, mold appeared everywhere. Water would leak into the hallways. Condoms and food could be found on the walks. The cleaning staff was a elderly married couple from Cuba who did not speak English in the presence of anyone. And from our experience, did not clean much. It was impossible to commuicate with these people, and obviously they were not aware of regualtions. There being here in the guise of a "cleaning staff" was the fault of the ownership.
I stand by my assessment of this community now. My post is titled "Take A Look" because in doing so, my evaluation will be proven. It is sad that you have in some way become jaundiced. Yes, the security fence has openings in it. But each time it is repaired, someone drives their car through it again. Most complexes with jacuzzis have closed them; they are nothing but trouble. CMS has renovated our pool area with new tables, umbrellas and patio chairs. And has posted strict rules as to who can use the pool and when, a smart move. There is a great deal of money being put into this property and it shows. The photos posted here are representative of the decay and squalor allowed to accumulate by the same company that employed the "cleaners" who left piles of rice by the doors and a wrench in my silverware drawer. It takes time to overhaul such neglect. I attempted to post photographs of the area of the property I live in, but they did not appear. Perhaps they were too large, but I'm going to keep trying.
It is quiet here, like a retirement community. In any residential community there will always be some people who are disrespectful and worse. CMS has hired a sworn law enforcement officer to live on the property and that person patrols at night in an official car and spotlights dark areas. This LEO is a welcome, comforting sight, and a far cry better than what was here in the past, posturing as a "security officer."
In light of the extreme neglect this once-lovely property has suffered, it will take more time to make everything right. I can attest that my apartment alone was transformed almost overnight by the remodeling of the kitchen and baths. That removed all the filth, mold, and grunge. I wish I had gotten one of the nice stoves CMS is putting in the apartments. Flaherty and Collins gave me one that may have cost upwards of $2.98.
Please direct further vitriol and anger to my email address: banisadr1408@yahoo.com, and not at some phantom member of the staff here.

Some information you may be interested in: Flaherty and Collins didn't give you a stove-nor did they allow the property to be neglected the way it was. CMS has originally owned the property and they let the property go into the begining of forclosure. Flaherty and Collins was appointed by the bank that owned the property and the property went into receivership. F&C's job was to simple manage and MAINTAIN the property untill the receivership was over-not spend hundreds of thousands of dollars making capital repairs such as replacing appliances. The reason CMS has money now is because they refinanced the property to get it back-and when you do that-you get a ton of money for needed repairs-repairs that were needed due to the 18 years of neglect that CMS caused for the property. This is all public information-so educate yourself. Also-if your apartment was so horrible-why did you take it? No one can force you to take the aparment-so apparently, it was acceptable to your standards.
