Nice at first, but staff and maintenance is declining

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
When we first moved into Willow Lakes it seemed great. After a short while we had many maintenance issues (lights, tiles, ceiling water spots, and water heater issues) that kept nagging us. We didn't have serious problems that affected living, but after talking to neighbors we found that we were one of the lucky ones. The management staff recently changed in 2003 and they seem to be reluctant to work on things anymore. We never got many of our issues resolved despite repeated comments to the staff. We had two neighbors that fell due to icy sidewalks, even after the management staff was notified. Supposedly, the maintenance staff up and quit after not being able to buy the proper supplies to fix the apartments. They seem to reuse old parts and hope that people won't notice. Its unfortunate that such a nice looking place is falling apart from what seems like bad management.
We were only here for a year but some neighbors had been there for 5 years and they were leaving just like we did. The prices weren't bad for a quality/spacious apartment but they seem to be lacking in quality these days.
