Worse Management Staff I have ever seen

I chose Willow Lake over two other apartment complexes because they offered a military discount for both my husband and myself. Now that my husband has returned from deployment, I am being called to serve. Although I do not have a copy of my orders yet, I have to leave on a certain date.

After giving notice to the leasing office two months in advance, we prepared to pay the fees they say we have to pay. Two weeks before move out date, they call to clarify that the fees are now TWICE as much as the originally assessed including paying back our military discount!

Not only do they want us to pay these huge fines, but they expected us to pay in full at the end of business that day or else the move out date would have to be moved to later.

I tried to explain that I didn't have my orders yet, but we still have to move and we don't have the kind of money on hand that they were asking for. They were completely unsympethetic, unapologetic and still demanded the money.

I feel that we have been extremely good and patient tenants. We always pay rent the day before due date. Althought I have been having trouble with hornets, spiders, and now fruit flies, we have been very patient with the staff to control and fix the problems.

Willow Lake not only has the worst management team I have ever seen in the six states both my husband and I have lived in durning our military careers, but they have proven to be rather un-American as well.

My son is in the military, and he's mentioned things of this nature but he understands that it's something that goes with the territory. Perhaps you should have stayed living where you were stationed- actually on the military base. This is the civilian world, if you can't deal with, too bad. Why should you not have to abide by the contracts the way the rest of us do- just because you're military? Don't think so.
